Where it all started…
Matt and Alison MacGregor started finding neglected homes in great locations and reinventing them 22 Years ago. The son of an architect surrounded by construction growing up, Matt initially went into the finance and mortgage industry and Alison in the design and staging business - a perfect combination of skills and passion.
Beginning in Queen Anne and the Seattle area, and over 125 homes later, they are currently building on Bainbridge Island where they reside (and where Matt grew up). Their main focus is residential builds but have included commercial and mixed-use properties. With the collaboration of talented team members, subs and local tradesmen, they have made every aspect of their projects unique.
Their primary focus is creating custom homes for sale on the island where they are an active part of the community and now well known for their quality-built, eco-conscious, NW unique designs.
They are local sponsors of youth leagues to fresh farms, and have assisted BI Youth Services facilities and other non-profit services to support island needs. Offering affordable housing in modern built-green Tiny Homes, to improving common areas, they strive to help the community they love along the way.
Unique and thoughtful home creation takes time. So unlike true speculative builders Layline Design+Build only crafts a few custom projects per year. They occasionally can be convinced to build a few client custom homes as well as offering Interior Design and furnishings selections. So feel free to ask about what is coming next!
